Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Electrician I to join our Facilities Management team in Smithfield, VA. While the primary focus of this role is electrical maintenance and repair, the successful candidate will also support general facility maintenance activities and work closely with a collaborative maintenance team to keep operations running smoothly.
Compensation Data
COMPENSATION: The Hourly rate for this position is $22.00 to $30.00. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

Job Responsibilities
- Perform electrical maintenance and repair work throughout the facility.
- Replace and repair lighting components, including bulbs, ballasts, and LED fixtures.
- Install and repair electrical outlets and other electrical components as needed.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues safely and efficiently.
- Complete preventive maintenance and routine facility inspections.
- Assist with general maintenance repairs and building upkeep.
- Support furniture moves and other facility-related projects.
- Respond to on-call maintenance needs as part of a rotating schedule.
- Maintain compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and electrical codes.
- Provide excellent customer service and work effectively with clients, coworkers, and facility occupants.

Qualifications

Preferred Experience
- Commercial maintenance experience strongly preferred.
- Experience working with lighting systems, ballasts, and LED technology.
- Experience performing a combination of electrical and general maintenance work in occupied facilities.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems and complete repairs independently.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Minimum Requirements
- Valid Electrical Journeyman License (required).
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
- Knowledge of electrical safety standards and installation practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking and standing.
This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
