Job Description
Aramark Facilities Management is hiring a Cleaning Services Worker to help maintain a clean, safe, and professional environment at our Newton, NC location. In this role, you'll perform daily cleaning duties, support sanitation and hygiene standards, and help ensure facilities are ready for employees, customers, and visitors. This position is ideal for dependable candidates with janitorial, custodial, housekeeping, or commercial cleaning experience who enjoy hands-on work and take pride in keeping spaces clean. You'll use cleaning equipment, laundry systems, and sanitizing products while following safety procedures and company standards. The work environment includes indoor cleaning tasks, regular walking and standing, and occasional deep-cleaning projects. Reliable attendance, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality are essential for success in this role.
Compensation Range: [Insert $17.30-$18.49
Job Responsibilities
• Clean and sanitize assigned areas, including common spaces, work areas, restrooms, and other designated locations.
• Sweep, mop, dust, vacuum, and disinfect surfaces to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
• Operate, clean, and properly store custodial equipment and cleaning tools after use.
• Perform routine inspections of cleaning equipment and report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Complete periodic deep-cleaning and seasonal cleaning projects as needed.
• Assist with linen collection, distribution, and laundry operations when required.
• Use on-site washing machines and related equipment according to established procedures.
• Follow health, safety, and fire prevention procedures at all times.
• Report hazards, damaged equipment, and facility concerns to management promptly.
• Maintain professional appearance, good personal hygiene, and appropriate PPE usage while on duty.
• Respond professionally to customer or client concerns and escalate issues when needed.
• Participate in training and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Must-Haves
• Ability to follow established cleaning procedures and complete routine custodial tasks independently.
• Reliable attendance and consistent work habits.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety.
• Ability to communicate professionally with coworkers, customers, and site management.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, push, and pull throughout the workday.
• Ability to wear required uniforms and personal protective equipment (PPE).
Preferred
• 6+ months of janitorial, custodial, housekeeping, environmental services, or commercial cleaning experience.
• Experience operating commercial cleaning equipment, floor care equipment, or laundry systems.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, sanitation practices, and workplace safety procedures.
• Experience working in manufacturing, industrial, healthcare, education, or commercial facilities.
