Job Responsibilities

  • Stage, charge, configure, and test POS terminals, handheld devices, card readers, and printers prior to each event
  • Verify menu items, pricing, and system updates have synced correctly across all POS stations
  • Confirm network connectivity (Wi-Fi/hardwired) for all point-of-sale locations
  • Troubleshoot and resolve device issues identified during pre-event checks
  • Coordinate with concessions, catering, and retail managers to confirm device counts and stand assignments

  • Event-Day Support

    • Serve as the primary on-site technical point of contact for POS-related issues during events
    • Respond quickly to stand-level outages, connectivity issues, printer jams, card reader failures, and software errors
    • Monitor system performance and transaction flow throughout the event
    • Swap out malfunctioning devices with backup units to minimize service disruption
    • Support cashiers and stand leads with basic system navigation and troubleshooting
    • Escalate unresolved hardware/software issues to corporate IT or vendor support as needed

    Post-Event Breakdown

    • Collect, secure, and charge all devices at event conclusion
    • Conduct basic inventory checks to confirm all devices are accounted for
    • Log recurring issues, damaged equipment, or needed repairs for follow-up

    General

    • Supervise and provide guidance to any part-time IT support staff or volunteers assisting with device deployment
    • Maintain accurate records of device inventory, issue logs, and event-day reports
    • Follow all Aramark safety, security, and loss-prevention procedures related to POS equipment and cash handling systems
    • Assist with software/firmware updates and testing during non-event downtime as needed

Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or coursework in IT, computer science, or related field preferred
    • 1–2 years of experience supporting POS systems, hardware troubleshooting, or IT helpdesk work preferred
    • Experience in a stadium, arena, restaurant, retail, or high-volume hospitality environment a plus
