Job Description
We are seeking a friendly and organised Food and Beverage Assistant to join our hospitality team in Dublin, Ireland. In this role, you will provide excellent customer service whilst supporting the smooth operation of our food and beverage service. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with our team to ensure guests receive a welcoming and efficient service experience. This is a permanent position offering the opportunity to develop your career progression within a dynamic hospitality environment.
- Prepare and serve food and beverages to guests in accordance with established service standards and procedures • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of dining areas, service stations, and kitchen facilities • Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner, taking orders and responding to requests promptly • Clear and reset tables efficiently between services, ensuring high standards of presentation
- Assist with stock management, including receiving, storing, and rotating food and beverage items • Comply with all food safety and hygiene regulations, including proper handling and storage of items • Support the wider team during busy periods, demonstrating flexibility and a collaborative approach • Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems accurately and process payments as required
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and management staff to ensure seamless service delivery • Respond to guest enquiries and concerns with professionalism and a customer-focused attitude • Maintain personal hygiene and appearance standards in line with organisational requirements
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a food and beverage or hospitality service role • Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanour • Excellent people skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards and best practices • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, pressurised environment
- Strong organisational and time-keeping skills • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high service standards • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and move around the workplace • Ability to follow instructions and adhere to established procedures • Basic knowledge of food and beverage items and service techniques • Desirable: Previous experience in a restaurant, café, or hotel setting
- Desirable: Familiarity with POS systems and electronic ordering platforms • Desirable: Food safety and hygiene certification or willingness to obtain one • Desirable: Multilingual abilities
