Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaning Operative to join our facilities team in Dublin, Ireland. In this permanent position, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene standards of our workplace environments. The successful candidate will demonstrate efficiency, professionalism, and a commitment to health and safety compliance whilst working both independently and collaboratively with our team.

• Clean and sanitise all designated areas including offices, communal spaces, restrooms, and corridors to the highest standards • Empty waste bins and dispose of refuse appropriately, ensuring waste segregation where required • Operate and maintain a range of cleaning equipment and machinery safely and effectively • Restock cleaning supplies and report shortages to management promptly
• Maintain accurate records of cleaning schedules and report any maintenance issues or hazards immediately • Adhere to all health and safety protocols, including COSHH compliance, and wear personal protective equipment as required • Respond promptly to cleaning requests and address spillages or accidents with urgency
• Work flexibly to accommodate varying shift patterns and organisational requirements • Contribute to a positive workplace environment through professional conduct, teamwork, and excellent customer service • Undertake induction training and engage in ongoing professional development opportunities

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a cleaning or facilities maintenance role (desirable) • Proficiency in using a range of cleaning equipment and machinery • Sound knowledge of cleaning products, their applications, and safe handling procedures • Understanding of health and safety regulations, particularly COSHH compliance
• Strong organisational and time management skills • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards • Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual cleaning tasks consistently • Ability to work independently and take initiative when required • Strong people skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Excellent communication and customer service orientation • Reliability and punctuality • Problem-solving ability and adaptability to different cleaning environments • First Aid certification (desirable) • Willingness to undertake induction training and ongoing professional development
