Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Catering Assistant to join our dynamic team in Dublin, Ireland. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service, and is passionate about supporting the delivery of high-quality food and beverage services. You will work collaboratively with our catering team to ensure every guest receives a memorable experience. - Prepare and serve food and beverages to a high standard, ensuring consistency and attention to detail - Provide outstanding customer service to all customers and visitors, maintaining a friendly and professional demeanour - Operate tills accurately and handle cash transactions with precision
- Assist with food preparation, plating, and presentation to meet organisational standards - Maintain exemplary standards of cleanliness and food hygiene throughout service periods - Support the wider catering team during busy service times, demonstrating flexibility and efficiency
- Receive and store deliveries appropriately, following correct procedures - Adhere strictly to food safety, health and safety, and company procedures at all times - Work shifts as required by the rota, including early morning starts where applicable - Contribute to a collaborative and inclusive working environment, supporting colleagues when needed
Qualifications
- A positive, customer-focused attitude with genuine enthusiasm for hospitality - Excellent people skills and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers - Proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a supportive manner - Strong reliability and flexibility to adapt to varying shift patterns and workload demands - Demonstrable attention to detail, particularly in food preparation and presentation
- Physical stamina to work on your feet for extended periods - Competence in basic numeracy for till operations and transaction handling - Knowledge of food safety and hygiene principles, or willingness to undertake training - Organised approach to time management and task prioritisation - Previous experience in catering, hospitality, or customer service is desirable but not essential
- A genuine willingness to learn and develop new skills through induction and ongoing support - Ability to remain calm and efficient in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
