Job Description

The Director of Food and Beverage Operations, Tacoma Dome, is a management position responsible for developing and executing dining solutions to meet customer needs and tastes for events held at the account. The position reports to the General Manager, and acts as the General Manager in his/her absence.

COMPENSATION: The salary range for this position is $91,000 to $104,000. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer.  This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.​

Job Responsibilities

  • Participates in establishing unit financial and operational goals, including qualitative standards for service.  Goals must reflect an understanding of client objectives, ARAMARK contractual obligations and ARAMARK’s policies for service and quality.
  • Assists in development and implementation of employee programs.
  • Provides input and recommendations for capital budget.
  • Provides guidance and recommendations to ensure maximizing of food and beverage revenue.
  • Implements cost and labor-saving productivities for entire operation on an ongoing basis.
  • Assists Department Heads in establishing short- and long-term goals aimed at achieving established plans.
  • Proficient in Retail Foods/Concession and catering operations
  • Partners with Unit Controller in preparing financial forecasts.
  • Develops action plans that will guide both routine and special program activity toward established goals and forecasts.  Directs and delegates responsibilities to execute plans.
  • Participates in overall direction and control of operation through inspection tours, maintenance of client relations, prompt resolutions of guests and employees, etc.
  • Follows and trains employees on policies, procedures, and regulations of ARAMARK.
  • Works with other senior team members to coordinate activities of the various departments, ensuring that a total quality product is delivered at all times.
  • Reviews and update policies on a regular basis both locally (property specific) and throughout the business unit to maintain and reflect current industry standards and trends.
  • Assists in interviewing and selection of management staff.
  • Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned at the discretion of the manager.
  • Follows ARAMARK policies and procedure and safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
  • Event based schedule to include evenings, weekends, and holidays

Qualifications

  • Requires at least 4 years of experience
  • Requires at least 1-3 years of experience in a management role 
  • Requires previous experience in food service
  • Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong communication skills  
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective client and customer rapport for mutually beneficial business relationships
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service using Aramark's standard model 
  • Ability to maintain an effective working relationship with other departments to a unified food service experience for all customers
  • Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lb. 
  • Ability to work an event based schedule which will include evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
