This role will support the Asbury Solomons community in Solomons, MD.

Compensation Data

COMPENSATION: The Salaried rate for this position is $60,000.00 to $63,000.00. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

Job Responsibilities

  • Onboard and Train New Associates
  • Scheduling to Budget to Reduce Overtime - Utilize Timekeeping System UKG
  • Assign Workflows to Serve Residents - Assisted Living (63) and Skilled Nursing Residents (99)
  • Conduct / Co-Conduct Weekly Staff Meetings - Agenda and Goals
  • Conduct Daily Staff Huddles
  • Audit/Inspection Preparedness - CMS, Dept of Ag, DOH, Steritech
  • Collaborates with Registered Dietitian, Assess Quality using Test Tray Audits
  • Facilitate Monthly Safety, Sanitation and Health Training
  • Inspect Opening and Closing Checklists, Sanitation, FIFO, Labeling and Dating
  • Monitor Chemical Dispenser for Accurate Concentration PPM - 5 Kitchenettes
  • Resident Satisfaction - Present Resident Surveys - Increase Variety, Consistency and Quality
  • Maximize Use of Aramark/Client Software Technology
  • Manage Meal Tracker as an Admin
  • Purchases Uniforms, Adaptive Equipment, Smallwares
  • Collaborates with Exec Chef - Drive Improvements/Satisfaction through Feedback Collection / Nursing Communications
  • Manage 2 FT Supervisors, 15 FTEs
  • Attend Resident Dining Committees - AL and SNF, Drive Improvements through Feedback
  • Foster Relationships with Nursing, Speech, Enrichment and PT through Rounding
  • Scheduled one on one's and Open Communication
  • Build Networking Relations with Temp Agencies - Aerotek, Drexel
  • Organize and Implement Staff Engagement Programs
  • Manage Inventory/Pars - Table Toppers, Silverware, China, Glassware, Sanitation Supplies
  • Manage and Store Monthly Equipment Temperature Logs - 5 Kitchenettes, 3 Pantries
  • Manage HACCP Record Keeping
  • Stock all Kitchenette and Pantries with Snacks and Beverages to Inventory Par - Requested by Nursing
  • Utilize and Implement Catertrax to manage kitchenette and pantry snacks, meal replacements, and beverages

Qualifications

  • 5+ years food service management experience in long-term care, or residential community is preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership; decision making; problem solving and communication skills
  • Working knowledge of health and safety matters surrounding the area of coverage
  • Working knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Good knowledge of nutrition and safe food handling certification
  • Demonstrated ability to use sound judgment when making decisions
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, ability to follow detailed instructions
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Maintain confidentiality in all matters pertaining to clientele and coworkers
  • Associate’s Degree in hospitality, culinary, or similar subject matter is preferred
  • Certified Dietary Manager certification preferred.
  • Certified Food Manager certification required
