Aramark Destinations is seeking a skilled Network Infrastructure Technician to support, maintain, and enhance the voice and data network infrastructure across our diverse portfolio of properties. This hands-on role involves everything from cabling and hardware installation to proactive infrastructure assessments in unique and sometimes remote environments, including National and State Parks.

 

COMPENSATION: The hourly rate or salary range for this position is $25.47 to $35.  If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer.  This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

Job Responsibilities

•    Cabling & Infrastructure:

  •  Install, repair, and maintain copper and fiber optic cabling
  •    Remove and organize outdated cabling systems
  •   Support large-scale cable runs (including fiber runs spanning several kilometers)
  •   Perform manual trenching under the guidance of National Park Service archaeologists and Tribal representatives to protect cultural and historical resources

•    Hardware Installation & Support:

  •   Configure, install, and maintain network equipment including switches, wireless access points, data cabinets, and satellite hardware

•    Network Assessment & Maintenance:

  •    Conduct proactive evaluations of existing infrastructure
  •   Identify vulnerabilities and recommend upgrades or repairs
  •   Other duties as assigned by management 

Qualifications

•    At least 5 years of experience in copper cabling repair, termination, and patching
•    Proficiency in tracing, locating, and tagging telephone lines
•    Understanding of telephony systems and troubleshooting line issues
•    Valid California driver’s license
•    Ability to build custom cables from raw components
•    Physically able to:

  • Lift up to 50 lbs
  •  Climb ladders and work in confined spaces, rooftops, and basements
  •  Work outdoors in various weather conditions and during nighttime hours

•    Willingness and ability to:

  •    Travel to multiple Aramark Destinations properties
  •    Adhere to site-specific regulations and safety requirements

Preferred Qualifications:
•    Cisco certifications (CCNA or equivalent)
•    Experience with VOIP systems
•    Proficiency in fiber optic cable installation and termination
•    Familiarity with Meridian and/or Avaya voice systems
•    Understanding of audio-visual systems integration
•    Proven ability to coordinate with multiple vendors and contractors on complex projects
•    Experience working in historical or protected environments in compliance with National/State Park and US Forest Service guidelines
•    Previous collaboration with National/State Parks Service or US Forest Service teams is highly valued
