Working in Tuolumne Meadows offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the natural beauty of Yosemite National Park’s high country. At 8,600 feet, Tuolumne Meadows provides unparalleled access to pristine alpine lakes, wildflower-filled meadows, world-class hiking, and some of Yosemite’s best summer rock-climbing areas. This is a seasonal position that allows you to experience the park at its peak.

The work environment is dynamic and can be physically demanding. Positions range from housekeeping and food service to retail and customer service roles. Employees are expected to maintain high standards of service while adapting to the challenges of a remote setting.

Living conditions are rustic. Employees reside in shared tent cabins, heated by wood stoves, which provide essential shelter without modern conveniences such as electricity or private bathrooms. Centralized facilities offer showers and restrooms for staff use. The remote location means limited access to urban amenities, but it also provides unparalleled access to outdoor recreational activities during off-hours.

The Camp Helper is a versatile and essential member of the team, responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and functionality of the camp. Compensation Data

COMPENSATION: The Hourly rate for this position is $19.30 to $19.30. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure guest satisfaction by cleaning and sanitizing dishes, pots, pans, silverware, glasses, equipment, and kitchen utensils.
• Maintain dishwashing stations, three-compartment sinks, and related areas.
• Clean and sanitize dining areas, kitchens, restrooms, and common spaces.
• Follow proper sanitation protocols to ensure health and safety standards are met, including adherence to Aramark’s safety policies.
• Dispose of trash and recyclables in designated areas, employing universal precautions when handling bio-hazardous materials.
• Clean and prepare guest rooms, cabins, or lodging spaces, including making beds, replacing linens, and restocking amenitites.
• Assist with maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of camp facilities, such as meeting rooms and recreational areas.
• Perform light maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs or reporting repairs.
• Stock and maintain appropriate levels of products and supplies, using tansfer sheets to maintain inventory.
• Maintain excellent customer service and a positive attitdude toward guests, customers, clients, co-workers, and management.
• Other duties and tasks as assigned by manager.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Demonstrates understanding of basic sanitation and safety procedures, including handling hazardous chemicals.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Previous experience in hospitality, janitorial, food service, or maintenance roles is preferred.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical stamina to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, standing, and walking for extended periods.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

 This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
