Job Description
The Assistant Human Resource Manager will play a crucial role in managing employee benefits and leave administration for both union and non-union staff. This position involves close collaboration with the HR and leadership teams to ensure smooth operations and compliance with relevant regulations.
Compensation Data
COMPENSATION: The hourly rate or salary range for this position is $24 to $26. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

Job Responsibilities
- Track and manage employee leaves of absence and worker’s compensation claims.
- Support benefits programs for frontline associates, including coordination with third-party administrators and processing unemployment claims.
- Lead the hiring, training, and management of Human Resource Coordinators.
- Oversee office duties, maintain confidential employee files and data, and assist with employee intake.
- Resolve office and employee relations issues.
- Ensure adherence to EEO, Affirmative Action, labor laws, and wage/hour regulations.
- Assist with collective bargaining agreements and Aramark policies.
- Support HR managers with investigations, policy consultations, union data requests and compliance tracking
- Partner with HR team to support park required trainings to include new hire orientation.
- Utilize HR systems to produce reports.
- Verify attendance, hours worked, pay adjustments, and post to the KRONOS system.
- Communicate with third-party administrators for worker’s compensation, FMLA, and STD leaves.
- Coordinate all leave of absence cases, ensuring compliance with related policies and employment laws.
- Assist with HR projects and initiatives, including auditing the SharePoint site to ensure information is current and accessible.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree preferred; preferably in Business Administration or Human Resources.
- Prior Human Resources or related previous experience preferred
- Must have excellent planning, administrative, and supervisory skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively deal with a wide variety of personnel
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to communicate with tact and diplomacy
- Ability to influence others on policies, practices, and procedures
- Effective at capturing and synthesizing information from multiple parties
- Solid understanding of employment laws
- Ability to handle sensitive and highly personal information daily and maintain confidentiality in a mature and insightful manner
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Able to work in a variety of weather conditions
- Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
- Have a valid US driver license
