Based in Yosemite National Park; the Environmental Compliance & Sustainability Manager is responsible for program development, tools, and training in regards to the compliance and sustainability for the park. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a knack for Environmental Compliance.
COMPENSATION: The salary range for this position is $68,640 to $72,000. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

Job Responsibilities
• Full understanding of the Yosemite National Park concessions contract, particularly all plans associated with required Environmental Management Systems. Including but not limited to, Occupational Safety, Food Safety, Environmental management.
• Support the on-site operations team in the implementation of site level management systems and lead team, and support environmental and sustainability systems and all associated action plans
• Lead the implementation, documentation and certification of the ISO 14001 environmental management system
• Maintain working relationship with local and regional compliance and regulatory authorities (Local / County / US Public Health, etc.)
• Accompany External and Regulatory Inspectors during on-site inspections and respond to regulatory non-compliance and to the best of ability - mitigate or limit any future inspection violations.
• Manage the Hazard Communications Program, including Chemical Management, Inventory, and Disposal
• Oversee the Waste Program, including Hazardous Waste and solid waste, work with our waste haulers, partner with the National Park Service Wildlife Management Team on bear-resistant trash storage, lead the installation of new waste containers in compliance with California State Laws and National Park Service Standards, and oversee internal recycling route management
• Oversee and monitor the Storage Tank Program, both above and underground tank management.
• Support the activities of an on-site Green Team, an employee-led group to generate sustainable opportunities including guest and employee engagement, waste diversion, and energy and water conservation.
• Support the Food and Beverage teams to run Zero Waste events
• Assist with recording and retention of all environmental data and provide reporting to the LOB
• Support the development and implementation of additional environmental and sustainability strategies within Yosemite National Park including partnering with facilities operations to drive energy and water conservation initiatives
• Support development, execution, tools and training within the Park in conjunction with support and operational teams
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in related field (Environmental policy, environmental health and safety, sustainability processes)
• 5+ Years of Experience related to environmental issues including concrete tactical environmental experience required. Experience in hospitality or facilities services and/or corporate experience strongly preferred
• Experience implementing ISO 14001 systems preferred
• People management skills, preferably in a Union Environment
• Proven leadership skills, strong interpersonal skills, ability to collaborate and build relationships, and ability to lead without formal authority are required.
• Demonstrated experience as a self-starter, and ability to take calculated initiative.
• Excellent attention to detail, demonstrated time management skills, ability to handle multiple priorities, and project management experience are a must.
• Strong oral and written communication skills (including public speaking) required.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
This role will require candidates to obtain forklift driver and non-CDL DOT driver certifications. This role will provide all necessary certifications for the candidate.
