Job Description

The Service Technician is responsible for safely traveling to customer locations to install, service, and repair vending machines and related equipment. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, basic plumbing and electrical skills, and a commitment to safety, quality, and customer service.

 

COMPENSATION: The Hourly rate for this position is $23.00 to $25.00. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

· Install, service, troubleshoot, and repair vending machines and related equipment (including water coolers, office coffee systems, microwaves, coolers, freezers, and related technology)

· Remove and replace equipment as needed

· Connect water lines and electrical components in compliance with applicable codes and sanitation standards

· Use diagnostic equipment and hand tools to identify and resolve equipment malfunctions

· Maintain service records, manage parts requests, and support inventory needs

· Operate a company service vehicle safely and in compliance with traffic laws

· Maintain professional communication and demeanor with customers, suppliers, and coworkers

· Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

· Valid driver’s license

· Basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry skills

· Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and service manuals

· Basic math skills for service documentation

Preferred Qualifications

· One year of experience as a service technician or in a related field

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

· Work performed at customer sites and warehouse locations, including outdoor conditions

· Exposure to noise, moving mechanical parts, and airborne particles; personal protective equipment may be required

· Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs, and repetitive hand motions

· Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs independently and up to 100 lbs with assistance

Schedule, Travel & Technology

· 15–40 hours per week based on operational needs; occasional evenings and weekends required

· Extensive local travel required

· Participation in the company’s Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program is required; employees must maintain a compatible smartphone for work use


This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking & standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
