Job Description

Aramark is hiring an experienced HVAC Technician – 2nd Shift to support the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems within a large facilities environment.

This is a skilled trades position responsible for maintaining heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and building automation systems that support daily facility operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with commercial HVAC systems, preventative maintenance programs, emergency repairs, and mechanical troubleshooting in institutional, commercial, healthcare, industrial, or campus environments.

This role is critical to maintaining safe, comfortable, and operational facilities during second shift operations.

Shift Information

2nd Shift Schedule: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM

Evening and weekend flexibility may be required based on operational or emergency maintenance needs.

Compensation Data

COMPENSATION: The Hourly rate for this position is $30.00 to $45.00. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

Job Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

• Install, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC, refrigeration, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems
• Service rooftop units, boilers, chillers, air handlers, exhaust systems, refrigeration systems, and related mechanical equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC and mechanical systems according to established schedules
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, and airflow issues
• Repair and maintain pneumatic control systems and related equipment
• Inspect, replace, and document filters in HVAC and air handling systems
• Clean and maintain ductwork, ventilation systems, grills, and exhaust systems
• Respond to emergency maintenance and repair calls during second shift operations
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and preventative maintenance documentation
• Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and critical replacement parts
• Coordinate work activities with other maintenance and skilled trades teams
• Follow all OSHA, safety, and facility compliance procedures

What We’re Looking For

• Strong commercial HVAC troubleshooting and repair experience
• Experience working with refrigeration systems, air handlers, ventilation systems, and preventative maintenance programs
• Ability to work independently during second shift operations
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, electrical systems, and mechanical equipment
• Ability to diagnose and repair HVAC performance issues quickly and safely
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Reliable, organized, and safety-focused mindset

Qualifications

• HVAC Certification preferred
• Previous HVAC experience required
• Demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Must be able to follow safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
