Title:  Data Center Facilities Engineering Manager - GM

Job Description

Job Responsibilities

o    Lead day-to-day operations of a 24/7 mission-critical data center environment with strict zero-downtime expectation.
o    Direct operators and contractors during incident response to ensure rapid stabilization and recovery.
o    Ensure redundancy systems are always operational and capable of supporting load during failures.
o    Oversee operation and maintenance of central plant systems (centrifugal chillers, cooling towers, pumps, CRAH/CRAC units, split AC systems)
o    Utilize Building Management Systems (BMS/Tridium or equivalent).
o    Interpret system data, alarms, and trends to ensure performance and early issue detection.
o    Lead a team of facility operators responsible for monitoring and operational tasks.
o    Manage and coordinate third-party vendors and skilled trades contractors.
o    Ensure vendors perform work safely and effectively.
o    Bridge communication gaps with internal and external operators, contractors, and leadership.
o    Identify and implement energy conservation opportunities, and help facilitate the implementation of projects, initiatives, and programs that reduce energy consumption and demand.
o    Build strong relationships with stakeholders through performance and transparency.
o    Be available to respond to emergencies 24/7 via phone.
o    Assist with identifying and troubleshooting and evaluating energy efficiency measures, calculate the savings potential of measures, and prepare assessment reports.
o    Develop detailed status reports and participate in Client presentations of findings. 
o    Technical Operations and Maintenance assistance, including service contract management support

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in facility management and/or energy engineering
• Working knowledge of large-scale HVAC systems, chilled water systems, and data center cooling systems.
• Strong problem solving, communication and collaborative team building skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software: Excel, Word, Power Point.
• Experience with Maximo or other CMMS systems
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle are essential requirements for this position.
• Experience supporting incident response in high-risk environments.
• Strong communication and leadership skills Preferred
• Data Center Manager certification such as Certified Data Centre Management Professional (CDCMP®), EPI's Certified Data Center Facilities Operations Manager (CDFOM®), and the Data Center Operations Manager (DCOM®)
