Job Description

The HR Manager at Towson University is required to be on-site 5 days a week. This is not a hybrid or remote position. 

Aramark is seeking a Human Resources Manager to oversee all aspects of the company's human resources functions. The HR Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing HR policies and procedures, managing recruitment efforts, providing guidance on employee relations, and ensuring compliance with legal requirements. This is a leadership position that requires excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. 

COMPENSATION:  The salary range for this position is $85,000.00 to $95,000.00.  This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.​

Job Responsibilities

  • The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of HR, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, performance management, and HR compliance. They will lead the HR team and work closely with other departments to ensure the effective operation of HR policies and procedures. The HR Manager will report to the Director of Human Resources.  ​
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that are compliant with legal requirements and aligned with the company's mission and values. 
  • Manage the recruitment process, including developing job descriptions, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and facilitating new hire onboarding. 
  • Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on HR-related matters, including performance management, employee relations, and conflict resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to HR, including equal employment opportunity, affirmative action, and wage and hour laws.
  • Oversee benefits administration, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies. 
  • Manage the performance management process, including setting goals, conducting performance evaluations, and providing feedback to employees. 
  • Develop and implement HR-related metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives. 
  • Manage a team of HR professionals, providing coaching, training, and development opportunities. 
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure the effective operation of HR policies and procedures. 
  • Stay up-to-date on HR-related regulations, laws, and best practices to ensure compliance with legal requirements. 

Qualifications

  • This person will be able to embrace leadership behaviors and lead by example including and not limited to the following:
    • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
    • 5+ years of experience in HR Management or related field. 
    • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. 
    • Knowledge of federal, state, and local HR-related laws and regulations. 
    • Experience developing and implementing HR policies and procedures. 
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HR-related software programs.
