Job Description

This role performs core HR Generalist functions such as updating employee information, supporting employee relations, assisting with performance management processes, and ensuring compliance with company policies and employment laws. The position also contributes to District HR initiatives, including organizing career fairs, development events, and line of business activities. 
Aramark’s Step Up to Leadership (S2L) Paid Internship Program targets motivated college underclassmen and rising seniors who are eager to gain valuable business skills and leadership experience. The S2L Program is designed to provide students with key experience, expertise, and resources to help position them competitively for full-time positions post-graduation.  

S2L interns gain relevant work experience, mentorship from industry leaders, and professional training to help them pursue what matters to them, both personally and professionally. Throughout the course of this premier internship program, interns have the unique opportunity to take on leadership roles within Aramark while participating in structured program activities and development exercises.  

Job Responsibilities

•    Responsible for the new hire support process from the intake of job applications to the completion of the new hire paperwork, including pre-employment process, background checks, etc.
•    Answering phones, greeting and assisting walk-in applicants, faxing, filing, correspondence, processing invoices, high volume data entry.
•    Maintain personnel records, creates files, maintains archives, etc.
•    Update internal databases with new employee information, including contact details and employment forms.  
•    Support HR events and initiatives, such as organizing events, career fairs, and development opportunities.  
•    Work with others in the HR department in developing various employee related activities and projects. 
•    Attend food service meetings with staff.
•    Maintain communication with staff (including office staff, e-mail, phone calls, inter-office mail, etc).
•    Promote good public relations.
•    Be able to work occasional night and weekend events.

•    Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•    Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
•    Ability to handle stress and conflicting priorities.
•    Comfortable working independently, as well as part of a team.
•    Comfortable in an environment with a high level of in-person people contact and frequent interruptions.
•    Must be a student at the Aramark location.

Physical Requirements
•     Ability to frequently lift, push, pull or carry up to 25 lbs.
•     Ability  to walk or stand for extended periods of time up to 12 hours
•     May require repetive motion
•     May require working with chemicals, heated equipment, steam and other at risk conditions
•     May require walking from one side of campus to another regardless of adverse weather
•     Must be available to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
