58 Social is seeking a talented, reliable, and motivated Lead Cook to join our culinary team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about high‑quality food, thrives in a fast‑paced environment, and enjoys mentoring others. The Lead Cook supports the Chef in daily kitchen operations, ensures dishes meet quality standards, and helps create a consistent dining experience aligned with the 58 Social brand.

Compensation Data

COMPENSATION: The Hourly rate for this position is $21.09 to $30.79. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

Job Responsibilities

  • Culinary Execution

    • Prepare high‑quality menu items according to recipes, presentation standards, and timing guidelines
    • Ensure consistency, accuracy, and quality of all dishes leaving the kitchen
    • Maintain strong working knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, preparation techniques, and allergens

    Kitchen Leadership

    • Assist Chef and/or Sous Chef in supervising line cooks and prep staff
    • Set the pace on the line and model best practices
    • Provide training, feedback, and support to junior team members
    • Step into supervisory responsibilities in Chef’s absence

    Operations & Organization

    • Oversee daily prep and ensure stations are fully stocked and ready for service
    • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment following all sanitation standards
    • Assist with inventory, ordering, and waste control
    • Uphold food safety procedures, temperature checks, and proper storage protocols

    Service Coordination

    • Coordinate timing with front‑of‑house team to ensure smooth service flow
    • Communicate clearly with servers, bartenders, and management regarding menu changes, shortages, or special requests

Qualifications

    • 2–4 years of professional cooking experience; supervisory experience a plus
    • Strong understanding of line cooking, prep work, and kitchen safety
    • Ability to lead a team during high‑volume service
    • Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
    • Food Handler certification required (or ability to obtain)

    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to stand for extended periods in a fast‑paced environment
    • Ability to lift 30–50 lbs as needed
    • Frequent bending, reaching, and working with heat and sharp equipment
