Title:  Purchasing Consultant

Job Description

The Purchasing Consultant is responsible for new business development by cold calling, prospecting, needs assessments, presentations, and closing new deals.

Job Responsibilities

Specialize in generating new business in your territory through prospecting, cold calling, networking, and relationship building
•    Managing a book of business with 70% of time spent on base business penetration and growth.
•    Develop a territory specific strategy to increase market share by outlining tactics, activities, and resources
•    Participation in state affiliated tradeshows and member facing events
•    Excellent relationship building and networking skills to be utilized with members and vendors
•    Manage and account for your business with a P&L statement
•    Utilize needs satisfaction selling skills to develop unique client specific resolutions for each prospect and member you encounter
•    Actively research and display knowledge of prospects you are targeting, as well as your competition
•    Develop creative strategies to get past the gatekeepers and in front of those "hard-to-see" decision makers
•    This is an outside sales position, 80% of time being spent on the road visiting member to actively sell and prospect new members
•    Home office environment and able to work accordingly
•    Must have reliable transportation and clean driving record
•    CRM utilization with SalesForce
•    Expenses processed with Concur

Qualifications

•    Must be able to provide evidence of a proven sales track record
•    1 - 3 years of outside B2B sales experience
•    Experience specializing in new business acquisition
•    Ability to influence decision makers at all levels of an organization, from a CEO to a front office professional
•    Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred or equivalent business experience

Benefits

COMPENSATION: The salary range for this position is $60,000.00-$66,000.00 plus commission. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer.  This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.
