Job Description

The Lead Student Worker is responsible for the supervision, training, and management of the food operation.  Ensures that appropriate quantities of food are prepared and served.

Job Responsibilities

  • The intern will be responsible for going around the dining hall and gathering surveys from students but also faculty and staff who join us for lunch and dinner.  
  • Going around campus and promoting the food and events that will be served in the dining hall.  
  • Running all social media accounts of the dining hall.  
  • Tabling events in the dining room when we have weekly/monthly events.    
  • Responsible for check-ins with the district marketing team to help elevate the experience in the dining hall.   
  • The intern should have or know Aramark meal plans and benefits  
  • The intern should have a bright and exciting personality   
  • Have good idea about social media (photos, videos, promotional post, etc)   
  • The intern should have an idea of graphic design 
  • The student intern must have some practice in cash handling   
  • Other duties assigned by manager

Qualifications


•    Must read, write, and understand verbal instructions 
•    Ability to frequently lift, push, pull or carry up to 25 lbs.    
•    Ability to perform basic arithmetic 
•    May require walking from one side of campus to another regardless of adverse weather  
•    Must be available to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends   
•    May require working with chemicals, heated equipment, steam and other at risk conditions  
•    Strong organizational skills
•    Must be a student at WNMU
