Applicants are required to have strong English language skills, including reading, writing, and comprehension.

Job Responsibilities

• Works with EBC Sous Chef in preparing meals and food to meet the specifications and allergy restrictions of guests
• Well versed in different cooking techniques including, Sauté, Grilling, roasting and braising
• Able to adhere to set standards, procedures, department rules and sanitation requirements
• Able to handle a knife safely and make proper cuts that include Dice (small, medium and Large), Julienne, Brunoise
• Able to use proper plating techniques
• Able to correctly use kitchen equipment including Oven, Flat top, Steamer, Robot Coupe, Stick blender and Mandoline
• 3-5 yrs kitchen experience preferred
• Ensuring proper food temperatures when cooking and proper storage afterward
• Keeping the workstation and kitchen equipment clean, organized and sanitized

Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or in a related role required
• Validated knowledge of the basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations such as accurate food handling, sanitation, and storage
• Must be able to acquire food safety certification
• Demonstrate basic math and counting skills
• Demonstrates interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
   

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
