Title:  Custodial Services Worker - Floyd Medical Center-EVS

Job Description

We are seeking team members with high energy and strong interpersonal skills who can effectively interact with patients, patient family members, and hospital staff. Attention to detail and a strong commitment to maintaining a clean and safe healthcare environment are essential.

Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by Aramark location based on client requirements and business needs

Schedule:
• 1st Shift: 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
• 2nd Shift: 3:00 p.m. – 11:30 p.m.
• 3rd Shift: 11:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.
Schedules include weekends. Full-time and part-time opportunities available (16–32 hours per week).

Job Responsibilities

• Floor Care (Experience Required):
  Candidates with floor care experience are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities may include:
  • Machine scrubbing and burnishing floors
  • Corner and edge work
  • Cleaning railings, walls, and kickplates

  Preferred experience includes:
  • Floor stripping and waxing
  • Floor refinishing
  • Carpet and upholstery shampooing

  Additional Responsibilities (as needed):
  • Assist with trash and linen services
  • Receive and distribute clean linen
  • Transport trash to designated waste receptacles and soiled linen to storage areas
  • Push or pull carts weighing up to 100 lbs

Qualifications

• Previous custodial experience preferred.
• Able to follow basic safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks and exposure to hazardous chemicals
• Maintains friendly, efficient, positive guest service demeanor towards guests, clients and co-workers
• Adaptable to guests’ needs

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
