Title:  Strategic Sourcing Manager - Avendra International

Job Description

Aramark and Avendra's services programs (e.g., elevator maintenance, landscaping, janitorial, etc.) are growing significantly.  Strategic Sourcing has increased its focus on services to nurture growth with existing client’s and position Aramark and Avendra for success in new markets.  Service programs and suppliers are essential to the effectiveness and impact of the organization's services strategy.  The Strategic Sourcing Manager will play a key role in pursuing services contract opportunities to develop high value programs that will compel adoption.  

The focus of this role is to support the growth of Aramark and Avendra's portfolio of services programs.  Service categories include but are not limited to: Landscaping, Outsourced Laundry, Cleaning, Night Cleaning, Window Washing, Plumbing and Electrical Services, among others. The Strategic Sourcing Manager is responsible for the planning and execution of contracting initiatives for high priority service categories across regions, as identified by our LOB partners.  These initiatives will result in successful contracts that support the needs of our clients.  The Manager will develop a plan to conduct the initiative that leverages best practices and sound processes.  Also, the role requires judgment to adjust the process to enable creating a successful contract and business ownership of the contract in an efficient manner.  
 

Position Reports to: Strategic Sourcing Director – National Services

This position is ideally based out of Rockville, MD at Avendra headquarters but candidates local to the Philadelphia area will be considered as well to work hybrid out of Aramark's headquarters in Center City. 

Job Responsibilities

•    Lead and execute sourcing initiatives to include negotiation and pricing strategy development for supplier agreements, preparation of RFPs, identify and select all suppliers. 
•    Identify potential service category and/or supplier opportunity areas.
•    Developing strong relationships with internal partners and preferred suppliers.
•    Set category strategy with targets aligned with strategic sourcing and business needs.
•    Generate and deliver ongoing value through year-over-year savings/cost avoidance while ensuring strong supplier performance and high level of services 
•    Maintain performance metrics to measure performance KPIs, including program compliance, cost savings, and quality performance.
•    Provide on-boarding and coaching to contracted suppliers 
•    Support management of relationships with key vendors and support field engagement with vendors.
•    Liaison with LOB operations to facilitate resolution of any pricing and service disputes.
•    Solicit input from LOB operations to develop understanding of sub-category and regional requirements
•    Provide expert-level category knowledge, with knowledge of the supply base
•    Coordinate supplier meetings with objectives and detailed valuable information of supplier profile
•    Assist with development, implementation, coordination and communication of regional and national programs.
•    Ensure compliance to Aramark’s sourcing and contracting policies, procedures, risk management programs, and ethics.
•    Other activities and projects as assigned

Qualifications

•    Vendor management experience
•    Background in commercial analysis/negotiation and experience with KPI and service level agreements
•    Ability to work on multiple projects at once 

Additional Skills:
•    3+ years of experience in Supply Chain management, contracts management, or facilities project management.
•    Knowledge of facilities and services, i.e., HVAC, plumbing, electrical etc. 
•    Breadth and depth sourcing strategy knowledge / experience
•    Advanced problem-solving skills with a high tolerance for ambiguity in a highly fluid work environment.
•    Experience working with key sourcing tools (e.g., Ariba or others)
•    Bachelor's degree or relevant experience
