Job Description

The Contract Analyst is a member of Avendra’s Legal Department and supports the Strategic Sourcing organization with contract preparation and finalization. The Contract Analyst works closely with Avendra’s associates and Strategic Sourcing leadership, to ensure that the resulting contracts are of the highest, professional quality. The Contract Analyst prepares and reviews documents for compliance with Avendra’s internal rules, regulations and policies.

 

The role is highly visible and requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a comprehensive understanding of Avendra’s Contract Management Regulations and business model.

 

Position Reports to Manager, Contract Administration

Job Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities 
•    Work directly with individual Initiative Owners and Strategic Sourcing leadership, and other members of Avendra’s Legal Department to prepare contract documents utilizing templates and other standardized contract language.  
•    Draft and edit contracts to accurately reflect the agreed upon deal terms. 
•    Ensure supplier business and legal terms are accurately reflected and contract standards (e.g. formatting, accurate references, spelling, grammar, adhering to processes, etc.) meet the highest, professional quality for final contract documents
•    Evaluate contracts and identify approvals required to comply with current policies and guidelines for Strategic Sourcing associates 
•    Utilize the Sirion and Ariba contracts management systems to effectively prepare contract documents, identify need for approvals and deviations, and ensure the delivery of high quality documents

 

Secondary Responsibilities    
•    Assist with Avendra’s conversion from the Ariba contract management system to the Ariba contract management system.  
•    Provide feedback and training to department leadership on Sirion contracts design, functionality, and process improvement.
•    Provide feedback to department leadership on contract templates
•    Perform special projects as requested

Work Environment.  This job operates in an office setting.  This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers. 

Physical Demands. This is an office role with some light lifting of files possibly needed.  

Qualifications

Role Requirements 
•    Demonstrated history of exceptional attention to detail
•    Ability to write clearly with a high degree of technical accuracy
•    Well-developed verbal ability, including excellent grammar and sentence structure
•    Knowledge of contracts, term sheets and other legal documents, including the ability to read and interpret contract documents and understand business concepts
•    Ability to work independently in handling contract topics with members of Avendra’s Strategic Sourcing team and other members of the Legal Department
•    Ability to prioritize workload, manage multiple projects, and work under time constraints
•    Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word and basic Microsoft Excel (formatting)
•    Strong customer service orientation 

 

Overnight Travel Requirements.  Type: None 

Years of Relevant Experience.   3-5 years of experience

Education Requirements.   BS/BA in relevant field or equivalent years' experience   

Benefits & Compensation

COMPENSATION: The salary range for this position is $65,000-$75,000. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer.  This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.
