Job Description
The Warehouse Manager is accountable for day-to-day warehouse and distribution operations, including receiving, inventory control, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping. This role oversees warehouse processes to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient product flow in support of daily routes and customer demand. Manages the warehouse team through scheduling, training, coaching, and performance management. Ensures safe work practices, operational efficiency, and consistent execution of standard operating procedures. Supports financial and operational objectives by monitoring key performance metrics and identifying opportunities for improvement.
Provides prompt, accurate, and professional service to internal and external stakeholders requiring product, information, or operational support. Demonstrates safety leadership within the warehouse and ensures compliance with company policies and procedures.
Job Responsibilities

Directs inbound and outbound warehouse activities, including receiving, put-away, storage, picking, packing, and shipping of product, equipment, and supplies

Oversees inventory control processes, including product rotation, cycle counts, reconciliation, and management of out-of-stock and obsolete inventory

Coordinates inventory levels and replenishment to meet service requirements and weeks-on-hand targets

Communicates with operations leaders, drivers, and frontline teams regarding inventory issues, shortages, delays, or changes impacting deliveries

Works with vendors and internal partners to support timely delivery of product and resolution of supply issues

Manages warehouse workforce responsible for receiving, stocking, rotating, and pulling product in accordance with safety and quality standards

Participates in hiring, onboarding, and training of warehouse team members

Provides ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance management to warehouse staff

Monitors daily workflow to ensure inventory is properly staged and ready for scheduled routes

Supervises completion of daily warehouse tasks to ensure accuracy, productivity, and safety expectations are met

Provides safety leadership and ensures compliance with company safety policies and procedures
Qualifications

Requires at least 2 years of relevant experience in warehouse, distribution, or related operations

Must have prior experience managing direct reports, including hiring, coaching, and performance management

Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent operational experience

Must have strong organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills
-
Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on warehouse environment
