The Recreation Guide III will act as a lead in personal interpretation of cultural, historical, and natural resources while providing support to guests in an outdoor environment. Responsibilities of the position may vary by Aramark location based on client requirements and business needs

COMPENSATION: The Hourly rate for this position is $19.00 to $19.00. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead guided tours on buses and boats, ensuring guests have a fun, informative, and safe experience.

  • Provide engaging commentary on local landmarks, wildlife, history, and cultural attractions.

  • Ensure guests feel welcome, comfortable, and entertained throughout the tour.

  • Assist with boarding procedures, safety instructions, and emergency protocols.

  • Answer questions and interact with guests to enhance their experience.

  • Maintain tour schedules and coordinate with transportation teams for smooth operations.

  • Handle minor issues that arise during tours, including guest concerns or unexpected delays.

  • Promote and encourage participation in recreational activities related to the tours.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in tourism, guiding, or customer service is preferred.

  • Strong public speaking and storytelling abilities.

  • Ability to engage diverse groups and create an exciting atmosphere.

  • Knowledge of local history, geography, and wildlife (or willingness to learn).

  • CPR and First Aid certification (preferred but not required).

  • Ability to work in outdoor conditions and occasionally assist with physical tasks.

  • A friendly, energetic, and professional attitude.


This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
