A Fortune 500 company has an opening for a Catering Services Director, a senior leadership role responsible for planning, directing, and executing all catering operations across a large, high-profile account or multi-unit corporate environment. This position oversees the full lifecycle of catering services—from sales and planning to execution and financial management—ensuring exceptional service experiences and flawless event delivery.
Successful candidates must be committed to very high-quality control standards, quick turnaround times, and tight, immovable deadlines. Core competencies include: leading teams in fast-paced environments, managing multiple complex events simultaneously, strong financial acumen, exceptional communication skills, high-level client service, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with senior partners and service teams.
Job Responsibilities

Lead and manage all catering operations, including event planning, menu development, staffing, and execution.

Build strong client relationships and support sales efforts, proposals, and event planning consultations.

Oversee menu costing, pricing, and presentation standards to ensure high-quality, consistent service delivery.

Direct and train catering staff to maintain excellence in service, safety, and operational processes.

Manage departmental budgets, revenue forecasting, and financial reporting for all catering activities.

Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, occupational safety, and environmental standards.

Implement new catering solutions, stay current on industry trends, and drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications

Minimum 4 years of experience in catering or events leadership roles.

1–3 years of management experience required.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience required.

Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work a flexible, event-based schedule including evenings or weekends as needed.

Required Food Handler and Alcohol Service certifications (or ability to obtain).

Ability to lift, bend, push, pull, and stand for extended periods; may require uniform and/or PPE.
