Job Description

The Markets Store Manager is responsible for leading daily store operations, driving sales and profitability, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment. This position oversees retail merchandise, food and beverage offerings, inventory management, financial performance, and team development to deliver an outstanding customer experience.

Leadership & Team Development

• Recruit, train, coach, and develop store associates.
• Create a positive, customer-focused culture that promotes accountability and teamwork.
• Conduct daily team meetings and communicate operational priorities.
• Recognize and reward employee performance while maintaining high service standards.

Customer Service & Operations

• Ensure an exceptional customer experience through friendly, efficient service.
• Oversee daily convenience store, retail, and food service operations.
• Maintain store cleanliness, merchandising standards, and product availability.
• Manage cash handling and point-of-sale operations.

Financial & Business Management

• Drive sales growth and profitability through effective management of labor, inventory, and operating expenses.
• Monitor financial performance and implement strategies to improve results.
• Analyze sales, inventory, and operational data to identify opportunities for improvement.

Inventory & Merchandising

• Manage ordering, receiving, stocking, and inventory control processes.
• Minimize product loss and inventory shrink.
• Ensure merchandise and food displays are well-stocked, organized, and appealing to customers.

Compliance & Safety

• Maintain compliance with food safety, sanitation, health, and safety regulations.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and operational standards.
• Promote a safe and healthy environment for employees and customers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of management experience in retail, convenience store, food service, or hospitality operations.
• Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
• Experience with inventory management, cash handling, and operational oversight.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality, Retail Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Experience managing convenience stores, campus markets, food marts, or similar retail environments.
• Food safety certification (ServSafe or equivalent).
• Strong communication skills  
• Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lb. 
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time 
• Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service using Aramark's standard service model
