Reporting to the Chief Growth Officer, the Vice President of Retention is responsible for leading client relationship management across a portfolio of existing accounts within the Facilities Management line of business. This role is accountable for driving account retention and growth by developing and executing comprehensive, client-focused strategies in collaboration with operations and functional leaders.

A successful VP of Retention acts as a client advocate, strengthening Aramark’s market position and value proposition through strategic engagement and leadership—both directly and through their team.

Job Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management:
•    Build and maintain strong, strategic relationships with key client stakeholders.
•    Understand client goals, challenges, and aspirations to align Aramark’s solutions accordingly.
•    Serve as the voice of the client within Aramark, advocating for their needs and ensuring satisfaction.

Strategic Planning & Execution:
•    Lead the development and execution of customized account strategies, including annual planning, client communications, business reviews, and contract negotiations.
•    Conduct account diagnostics and relationship assessments to proactively address retention risks and identify opportunities for innovation and growth.
•    Utilize Aramark’s reporting and analytics tools to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.

Internal Collaboration:
•    Partner effectively within a matrixed organization, leveraging subject matter experts and operational leaders to deliver client-centric solutions.
•    Lead internal deal approval processes for rebids and vertical growth opportunities.
•    Leadership & Team Development:
•    Build and lead a high-performing team with a focus on succession planning and talent development.
•    Inspire collaboration and a client-first mindset across all levels of the organization.

Operational Excellence:
•    Ensure delivery of contractual obligations and client expectations across the portfolio.
•    Lead RFP responses and competitive rebid processes as needed.

Qualifications

•    Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in account management, client retention, or sales.
•    Strong operational and financial acumen, including experience with complex service solutions.
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Salesforce and other CRM tools preferred.
•    Demonstrated ability to lead in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
•    Proven leadership and team development capabilities.

Education

Bachelors preferred
Masters preferred
