Position Overview
The Vice President, Human Resources – Corporate Functions, is a strategic executive partner to Aramark’s corporate leadership, responsible for shaping and executing people strategies that drive business outcomes and foster an inspired, hospitality-focused culture. This role provides strategic HR leadership and consultation to senior executives and people managers across all corporate functions, ensuring alignment with Aramark’s mission, values, and leadership competencies.
This leader will oversee a team of HR Business Partner and Talent Acquisition professionals, ensuring best-in-class support for all corporate functions. Success in this role is defined by the ability to develop talent, drive measurable results, collaborate across disciplines, and model Aramark’s Leadership Capabilities: Business Leadership, Customer Leadership, People Leadership, and Personal Leadership. The VP will champion our culture of hospitality and service, supporting our people, partners, and communities.
Job Responsibilities
Business Leadership
• Serve as a strategic HR advisor to the SVP of Human Resources and Corporate Function Executives, leveraging people strategies to achieve business goals.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive HR strategy for corporate functions, informed by data and aligned with enterprise objectives.
• Lead organizational readiness, capacity, and engagement initiatives to support operational excellence and growth.
Customer Leadership
• Champion Aramark’s hospitality culture by building an inclusive, engaged environment that anticipates needs and drives service excellence.
• Act with urgency and accountability to address business challenges and deliver people-centered solutions.
• Lead talent acquisition and management initiatives to ensure readiness for growth and succession aligned with business needs.
People Leadership
• Oversee and develop a high-performing team of HR Business Partners and Talent Acquisition Partners, fostering collaboration, capability-building, and a shared commitment to Aramark’s values.
• Drive talent development through performance management, talent reviews, succession planning, and leadership development.
• Partner with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) and peer HR leaders to define and share best practices across the enterprise.
Personal Leadership
• Model resilience, agility, and integrity in navigating complex organizational and employment matters.
• Demonstrate curiosity and initiative by identifying innovative approaches to attract, develop, and retain top talent.
• Build trust and credibility as a business partner, resolving escalated issues with consistency and fairness.
Additional Responsibilities
• Provide expert consultation on inclusion, compensation, organizational design, employee relations, talent retention, and change management.
• Assess and articulate opportunities for change initiatives that positively influence business operations and results.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies, programs, and relevant regulations.
• Support employee engagement by proactively identifying opportunities and implementing solutions, including action planning from engagement surveys.
• Implement robust assessment and selection processes to ensure strong succession pipelines.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree required; graduate degree preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience, including 5+ years in HR leadership roles supporting multiple functional areas.
• Demonstrated expertise in organizational design, change management, talent management, and leadership development.
• Proven ability to lead large-scale change initiatives and drive measurable business outcomes.
• Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
• Experience working in a matrixed, multi-location environment.
• International HR experience preferred.
• Deep knowledge of compliance, labor laws, and HR best practices.
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills; ability to build trust and credibility with senior leaders.
• Demonstrated commitment to inclusion.
• Experience with HR technology and analytics.
• HR Certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-SCP) a plus.
