Job Description
The Talent Acquisition Specialist supports hourly recruiting for the Corrections line of business by managing a high volume of open requisitions from intake through hire. This role partners closely with operations leaders, HR, and Talent Acquisition to understand staffing needs, prioritize requisitions, build qualified candidate pipelines, and deliver timely hiring outcomes that support site-level service and operational continuity.
This role requires strong requisition and workflow management, consultative communication, and the ability to execute in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive candidate and hiring manager experience.
Job Responsibilities
Hourly Requisition Management & Full-Cycle Recruiting
- Manage a high volume of hourly requisitions from intake, posting, and sourcing through screening, interview coordination, selection, and offer/contingency steps.
- Partner with hiring managers and HR to clarify role requirements, priorities, and start dates; provide guidance on hiring process, timelines, and labor market conditions.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for hourly roles using ATS tools, direct sourcing, referrals, local outreach, and community partnerships.
- Support hiring events for hourly roles, including planning, coordination, execution, and in-person event support as needed.
- Coordinate interview scheduling and ensure timely candidate movement through each stage while maintaining service-level expectations and a strong candidate experience.
- Maintain accurate requisition, applicant, and disposition data in the ATS; ensure documentation and process steps meet compliance, audit, and record-retention requirements.
- Support offer generation and pre-employment steps (e.g., background checks, drug screens, reference checks) in partnership with HR and operations; troubleshoot delays and drive closure.
- Provide regular requisition status updates, pipeline insights, and hiring activity reporting to stakeholders; identify risks and recommend actions to improve fill rates and time-to-fill.
Special Projects & Process Support
- Support recruiting process improvements focused on requisition intake, candidate flow, interview scheduling, and time-to-fill for hourly roles.
- Participate in hiring manager touchpoints (e.g., weekly req reviews) to prioritize openings, remove roadblocks, and align on candidate slates.
- Track recruiting metrics and activity (e.g., applicant flow, time-to-fill, interview-to-offer, offer acceptance) and share insights with TA and business stakeholders.

Qualifications
- 2–5 years of full-cycle, high-volume recruiting experience with demonstrated ownership of hourly requisitions in a corporate and/or agency environment.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruiting tools; able to maintain accurate requisition and candidate records.
- Strong consultative and communication skills with the ability to influence process adherence and partner effectively with hiring managers and HR.
- Ability to source, assess, and convert candidates into qualified hourly hires while ensuring proper dispositioning and compliance throughout the process.
