Job Description
The Retail Merchandising Lead Supervisor serves as the primary connector between the buying team, retail operations, the client, and the event staff. This role ensures that product communication, merchandise execution, and operational alignment flow seamlessly across all retail locations. The position is responsible for executing visual and merchandising directives, managing signage accuracy, coordinating floor updates, handling incoming product, and supporting the event supervisor group to maintain consistent standards during every game and event.
This role is hands-on, detail-oriented, and essential to ensuring the sales floor remains organized, visually compelling, and aligned with current selling priorities.
Job Responsibilities
Merchandising Leadership & Floor Execution
- Partner closely with the buying team to understand product priorities, upcoming launches, and floor strategies.
- Lead the execution of visual directives, floor moves, launch pad resets, and seasonal transitions.
- Maintain presentation standards that reflect brand guidelines and client expectations.
- Oversee daily replenishment and ensure high-demand items remain stocked and properly displayed.
- Assist in adjusting product placement rapidly based on sales trends, hot markets, and crowd flow.
Product Communication & Cross-Functional Coordination
- Act as the main point of communication between buying, operations, event supervisors, and the client on all product updates.
- Deliver clear and timely communication to staff about new arrivals, promotions, player-driven moments, or priority changes.
- Ensure all signage, price points, and promotional messaging are accurate and updated across all zones.
- Work with the operations team and warehouse to ensure product flows efficiently from receiving to the sales floor.
Operations & Inventory Support
- Coordinate with warehouse staff on order intake, tagging, folding, staging, and backstock organization.
- Ensure all incoming orders are put away, accounted for, and communicated to the team.
- Assist with inventory integrity projects, cycle counts, and organization of stockrooms.
- Support the operations manager with daily readiness checks and event prep.
Event Support & Staff Alignment
- Work closely with the event supervisor group to ensure consistency across all stands and stores.
- Provide guidance and direction to supervisors and associates on merchandising expectations and operational priorities.
- Support all games and events, serving as a floor leader who can troubleshoot, adjust displays, and assist with staff needs.
- Assist with training event staff on product knowledge, visual standards, and replenishment processes.
Client Interaction
- Communicate product highlights, selling priorities, and visual execution with client contacts as needed.
- Ensure the sales floor reflects the current brand and organizational priorities established with the client.
- Work collaboratively to align all retail spaces with client expectations for fan experience and store aesthetics.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of retail merchandising, visual merchandising, or retail leadership experience.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple departments.
- Solid understanding of product placement strategy and visual merchandising principles.
- Experience working in fast-paced, high-volume environments.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and all major events.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and move boxes or fixtures.
- Able to operate in a multi-level store environment.
