Job Description
The SRC Regional LEAD will be responsible for the execution of safety and risk control (SRC) efforts
within Aramark’s US / North American operations. He/she will support team of client-dedicated operations
and enable the implementation of Aramark SAFE (Safety Assurance in Food and Environments) at our
locations across diverse client markets. This role may now or in the future require some management or
oversight of limited multiservice operations based on contract, leadership or change in overall operating
structure. He/she will work closely with regional business leaders, primarily Regional Vice Presidents
(RVPs) and District Managers (DMs) to secure sponsorship, drive accountability and monitor performance to
ensure a safe workplace for our employees, clients and customers. The SRC Regional LEAD will also be
responsible for overseeing the execution of tactical plans focused on key SAFE processes that drive
continuous improvement, minimize risk, protect Aramark’s brand and demonstrate the value of proactive risk
management.
Job Responsibilities
1) Support SRC Lead of Food (Facilities) Operations in establishing annual strategic plans to support
and enable the food (facilities) business to achieve those goals.
2) Responsible for recruiting, assessing, training, managing and developing SRC Specialists, as
needed, and in partnership with business leadership in assigned territories.
3) Lead, coach and develop a diverse team of client-dedicated safety professionals to support Aramark’s
food (facilities) business needs and drive continuous improvement.
4) Will proactively communicate with regional leadership (i.e., RVPs and DMs) to help drive improved
safety performance. Further, will serve as a “coach” to RVPs and DMs within assigned territories to
foster establishment of a strong, inclusive safety culture at all Aramark client locations.
5) Contribute to and oversee execution of tactical plan(s) for assigned territories to achieve annual
organizational safety and brand protection goals, including but not limited to:
· Implementation of SAFE Engagement processes focused on safe behaviors and conditions
· Outlier management – targeted support of highest risk/lowest performing operations
· Support of Aramark’s Mobilization Process
· When required, on-site crisis/brand protection support
6) Monitor and communicate performance against lagging and leading safety metrics for assigned
territories; identify areas for leadership attention at Regional and District levels.
7) Increase visibility across assigned territories for safety and risk control related issues impacting
people and brand. Includes frequent large group presentations, key meeting attendance, one on one
meetings with key regional leadership, etc.
8) Supports key, high-risk client locations in maintaining compliance with broad group of governmental regulatory agencies (e.g., OSHA, EPA, USDA, etc.).
9) Responsible for troubleshooting accident/liability causes and providing viable recommendations for preventing or controlling these issues.
10) Serving as a safety resource and primary liaison for RSLs in assigned territories.
11) Provide broad support and management oversight across assigned territories for specialty service lines/offerings, including but not limited to marine, aviation, environmental, fire protection, etc.
12) Participate in departmental and cross-functional projects that contribute to enablement of Aramark SAFE or other improvement efforts, as required.
13) Consistently demonstrate key leadership competencies which include:
· Building rapport and effective performance based relationships with regional leadership, SRC team members and safety personnel dedicated to client accounts.
· Motivating and inspiring others, both within SRC and throughout Aramark · When appropriate, challenging status quo, offering solutions and working to build consensus
· Influencing without formal authority for strategic improvement initiatives
· Functioning as a change agent to drive continuous, sustainable safety improvement and that builds value
Qualifications
Individual will have a direct reporting line to the SRC Lead of Food (Facilities) Operations. Must possess
sophisticated communication, consultative and coaching/influencing skills. A demonstrated ability to build
effective working relationships, as well as influence, motivate and inspire regional leadership is critical.
Individual must be client focused with excellent facilitation skills. Individual must be able to collaboratively
work with available resources to bring optimal solutions to address diverse organizational and client needs.
Success in this position will also require the ability to coach, mentor and develop personnel and have excellent
listening and needs assessment skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications required.
Bachelor's degree in related field (MS or MBA preferred).
· 10 + years professional experience in Safety, Health, Environmental and Risk Management, general
business management, consulting or performance improvement.
· Experience with marine liability and risk management is desired (for SRC Food Regional LEAD
only)
· Experience in formal or informal leadership of professionals through organizational improvement
initiatives and a working knowledge of change management fundamentals.
· Experience must include direct interface with operating leaders within an organization at the regional,
line of business or enterprise level (i.e., above a site, plant or unit level) is preferred.
