Title:  Maintenance Technician - Clifton Center - EVS

Job Description

The Floor Technician is responsible for maintaining all hard and soft floor surfaces throughout the facility. Duties include routine and restorative floor care, carpet maintenance, operation of floor care equipment, and ensuring a clean, safe, and professional environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

Job Responsibilities

• Sweep, dust mop, vacuum, and auto-scrub floors.
• Strip, wax, seal, and refinish hard floor surfaces.
• Burnish and buff floors to maintain appearance standards.
• Perform carpet extraction, spot cleaning, and carpet maintenance.
• Operate floor machines, burnishers, extractors, and related equipment.
• Maintain floor care equipment and report repair needs.
• Follow all safety procedures and infection prevention standards.
• Respond to emergency clean-up requests.
• Maintain chemical and equipment storage areas.
• Complete assigned preventive maintenance schedules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous floor care or environmental services experience preferred.
• Ability to operate commercial floor care equipment.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull equipment and supplies.
• Knowledge of safety practices and chemical handling.

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
