Job Description

The Enablement Director is a strategic leader responsible for building and owning the "how-to" playbooks, standards, and enablement infrastructure that turn Aramark programs into consistent, repeatable execution in the field. This role designs the standards for how new accounts are mobilized and how programs and capabilities are rolled out across EVS, Patient Dining, Retail, and other service lines, then holds the field enablement teams accountable to deliver against them. The Enablement Director partners closely with Category, Operations, and Regional leadership to translate program design into field-ready training, SOPs, and launch playbooks, and personally understands what it takes to bring a program to life at the point of service. This role blends strategic standard-setting with hands-on accountability for execution quality, coaching enablement managers and mobilization teams, and serving as the escalation point for standardization, adoption, and launch-readiness issues across the portfolio.

At Aramark, developing new skills and doing what it takes to get the job done make a positive impact for our employees and for our customers. To meet our commitments, job duties may change or new ones may be assigned without formal notice.

Job Responsibilities

  • Playbook & Standards Ownership – Build, own, and continuously evolve the "how-to" playbooks, SOPs, and brand standards that define how programs and capabilities are deployed at the unit level, ensuring one consistent standard of execution across all regions and service lines.
  • Mobilization Model Oversight – Provide strategic oversight of the enablement team and the broader mobilization model, ensuring new account openings and program launches are prioritized, resourced, and staffed in alignment with the business's growth and standardization goals.
  • Category & Field Partnership – Partner with Category, Experience Design, Technical Support, and Regional Operations leadership to translate new programs and platform enhancements into field-ready training, launch playbooks, and rollout plans that field teams can execute consistently.
  • Regional Consistency & Adoption – Maintain close, current visibility into standardization and adoption across regions; proactively identify gaps in program adherence, launch readiness, and SOP compliance, and drive corrective action with Regional Support and Mobilization teams.
  • Accountability & Escalation – Hold field enablement teams accountable to delivery timelines, quality standards, and go-live commitments; act as the senior point of escalation when launches, training, or standardization efforts are at risk.
  • Talent & Team Development – Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing bench of field enablers and trainers; establish career pathing, certification, and capability-building programs across the enablement organization.
  • Performance & KPI Oversight – Own the enablement scorecard across the mobilization portfolio (speed to standardization, program adoption and SOP compliance rates, launch readiness and on-time go-live, client and operator satisfaction post-mobilization), reporting transparently to senior leadership.
  • Risk & Issue Management – Establish enterprise-level risk practices for mobilizations and launches; ensure timely identification, escalation, and resolution of readiness, training, or adoption gaps before they impact go-live or client relationships.
  • Process Maturity & Continuous Improvement – Drive continuous improvement of playbooks, training content, and enablement tools, benchmarking against industry-leading enablement and training practices to elevate organizational capability and speed to standardization.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration – Serve as the connective tissue between Category teams, Regional Support Teams, and the Centralized Enablement Team, ensuring "categories define the programs and enablement teams ensure consistent deployment."
  • Travel for the job expected 20-30% of the time, including on-site presence at key new account openings and program launches at current accounts.

Qualifications

  • Experience – 10 to 15 years of progressive experience in operations, training, or enablement roles within EVS, food service, hospitality, or retail, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role building standards and leading field enablement or mobilization teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Organizational Development, or a related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred; certification or formal training in instructional design, curriculum development, or organizational change management strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience partnering with Category, Operations, and Regional leadership to translate program design into field-ready playbooks, training, and launch plans.
  • Demonstrated experience establishing and scaling playbooks, SOPs, and training standards across a large, multi-site field organization, with a track record of driving rapid, consistent adoption.
  • Strong executive presence and communication skills, with a track record advising senior leadership and holding field and regional teams accountable to delivery and quality standards.
  • Deep knowledge of adult learning and enablement methodologies, along with tools used to build and track training and playbooks (e.g., LMS platforms, Smartsheet, SharePoint, POS/EVS/patient dining applications).
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to translate field performance and adoption data into actionable insights and playbook improvements for senior leadership.
