Director of Financial Planning & Analysis

We are seeking a strategic and results-oriented Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A).  Reporting to the VP Treasurer, this role is responsible for driving the annual planning process, managing global balance sheet and cash flow forecasts, and overseeing a team with a primary focus on capital expenditures (CapEx), investments, mergers & acquisitions (M&A), and other key financial metrics. In addition, this role is critical in collaborating with the corporate accounting FP&A team, treasury and with the USFSS and International FP&A teams.  The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in financial systems integration, data automation, and cross-functional collaboration to enhance analytical capabilities and support executive and Board-level decision-making.

Job Responsibilities

Planning & Forecasting

  • Lead the development and execution of the annual planning process, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and multi-year plans.
  • Manage global balance sheet and cash flow forecasting, incorporating business unit inputs and macroeconomic factors.
  • Drive continuous improvement in forecasting accuracy and planning efficiency.

Strategic Financial Analysis

  • Oversee analysis of Capital, investment opportunities, M&A transactions, and other strategic initiatives.
  • Monitor and report on key financial ratios and performance metrics.
  • Conduct scenario planning and sensitivity analyses to support strategic decision-making.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of two FP&A professionals.
  • Foster a collaborative and analytical culture focused on delivering actionable insights.

Executive & Board Support

  • Prepare and deliver high-impact financial presentations for executive leadership and the Board of Directors.
  • Translate complex financial data into clear, concise narratives and visualizations.

Systems & Data Automation

  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of integrated financial systems and their role in enterprise-wide planning, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Collaborate closely with IT teams to optimize system architecture, data flows, and reporting capabilities.
  • Leverage tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and other analytics platforms to automate reporting and synthesize large, complex datasets requiring standardization.
  • Lead initiatives to improve data quality, accessibility, and usability across financial systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field; MBA, CFA or CPA preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or strategic planning.
  • Proven track record in leading global planning and forecasting processes.
  • Deep understanding of financial statements, cash flow modeling, and investment analysis.
  • Experience supporting M&A and capital planning initiatives.
  • Expertise in financial systems integration and data automation.
  • Proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, and advanced Excel; experience with planning tools such as Hyperion is a plus.
  • Strong managerial courage, leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated success in cross-functional collaboration, particularly with global finance, IT and data teams.
