The Community Engagement Manager is responsible for assessing needs and creating initiatives to promote health and wellness. The role will collaborate with other departments and evaluate program effectiveness. The role will provide services for underserved teammates in the surrounding communities. This position will assist teammates by sharing and locating resources for housing, food, legal services, and mental health care; while ensuring they are in an environment where they feel safe.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for overseeing daily operations for team members, training new team members, managing performance by inspiring team members to do their best and achieve goals.
  • Setting clear directions for the team, providing guidance, deedback and support for team members.
  • Advocating for team members needs and objectives.
  • Helping team members identify areas where they can improve.
  • Utilize specific platform to identify teammates in need of support and resources.
  • Function as a partner and ally for teammates to create housing stability.
  • Liaison between teammate and the emergency care fund division to assist in getting financial approval.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community partners to best be able to assist teammates with needed resources.
  • Communicate with teammates department managers to ensure proper support for teammate.
  • Conduct follow up meetings with teammates 30/60/90/1 year later to ensure continued stability, and to track program successes and opportunities.
  • Provide continuing education to teammates who have received assistance to ensure upward mobility.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Health Education. MWS Preferred.
  • Two years’ experience in healthcare required.
  • Ability to communicate (both verbal and written) effectively.
  • Ability to apply elementary math functions.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to conduct detailed, but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to work well under time constraints.
