Job Description

The Data Science division is the epicenter of business intelligence, uncovering impactful insights that put Aramark clients in the sports and entertainment industry ahead of the curve. Using leading-edge technology and analytics, Data Science synthesizes operational and consumer data to optimize strategies that enhance the guest hospitality experience and blaze a trail for innovation.  Through continuous expansion of analytical capabilities and a comprehensive method of understanding the industry at large, Data Science harnesses the power of data as the most strategic asset in maximizing value for consumers, operators, and businesses alike.

As part of the Data Science team, the Business Analyst will provide trend analysis for client business reviews, in-depth analysis and insights to prescribe opportunities to our field members, and analyze customer behaviors via surveys for strategic plans.  This individual will leverage advanced analytical skills to identify opportunities in large data sets, translate the analysis into simplified recommendations, and measure success.    In addition to the field, this role will interface with cross functional teams in finance, marketing, sales by providing subject matter expertise with portfolio wide trends. 

Job Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of the position include:
•    Works in Data Science’s Qlik Business Intelligence Platform to develop innovative ways to deliver insights
•    Leverages existing data models to support development of business intelligence reports and objects that enable the Sports & Entertainment Business Unit’s strategy
•    Support the continued automation and execution of operationally critical reports to venue staff that enable measurement of venue performance during an event
•    Work collaboratively with data stakeholders, front line staff, and other team members to execute analytical initiaties
•    Act as a data steward and support data quality initiatives to ensure accuracy in reports and dashboards


•    Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Intelligence, Business Analytics, or related field

•    Must have demonstrated familiarity working with business intelligence tools (e.g. QlikView, QlikSense, Tableau, PowerBI, etc.), having a certification in one or several tools a plus; links to/copies of prior work or portfolio are welcomed

•    Excellent analytical skills with demonstrated ability to solve problems

•    Ability to present complicated analytical material in a concise and compelling manner, using visualizations where applicable 

•    Demonstrated initiative in identifying issue areas and suggestions for improvement

•    Self-motivated, is naturally data-driven, detail oriented, and willing to test solutions to find the best outcome

•    Strong organizational, project management and time management skills

•    Any additional programming (e.g. Java, VBA, C#, Python) exposure a plus

•    Experience with relational databases a plus

•    Must have proficiency in Microsoft Office tools such as: Excel, PowerPoint and Access

•    Proven ability to collaborate with others, present, and defend ideas

•  Experience with Qualtrics or similar survey programs a plus
