Job Description
The Banquet Captain ensures successful catered events by leading staff, coordinating setup and service, and acting as the main point of contact for clients and guests. This role combines leadership, organization, and customer service to deliver seamless experiences for all events.
Job Responsibilities
• Lead banquet staff to execute events smoothly from setup to breakdown.
• Oversee room arrangements, décor, and food/beverage service.
• Communicate with clients to confirm event details and special requests.
• Ensure guest satisfaction by addressing concerns promptly and professionally.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and compliance with health standards.
• Train, assign, and supervise staff during events.
• Manage post event teardown, inventory, and reporting.
• Adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation
• Ensures security of company assets

Qualifications
• Previous experience as a server or in food service role (3-5 years)
• Demonstrates excellent customer service and leadership skills
• Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
• Working knowledge of food safety principles and procedures
• Must be able to obtain a food safety certification
• Must be available to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
