Job Description

As an IT Business Analyst specializing in Healthcare Experiences, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and enhancement of critical solutions within the healthcare settings. Your responsibilities will span software and hardware support and assist with software/hardware upgrade projects. This position functions as an integral part of the IT team in leveraging technology to meet and exceed our customers’ expectations and our company’s financial goals. This role will collaborate with business users, technology staff and clients to discuss and recommend solutions that integrate with the broader HC+ strategies. The role will play a key role in ensuring smooth transitions and successful adoption of new technologies and processes with the Patient and Caregiver Experience, and Environmental Services line of business.

Job Responsibilities

  • Project Collaboration and Communication

    • Write clear and well-structured business requirements
    • Create process documentation to enable capability mapping and solution design
    • Independently lead small to medium sized healthcare IT related projects as assigned.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address technical challenges.
    • Communicate effectively with project members and end-users, providing clear instructions and guidance.

     

    Technical Application Support

    • Ensure timely resolution of incidents to minimize disruptions in healthcare services.
    • Provide assigned support during system go-lives and upgrade projects, including off-hour releases as required.

     

    Strategizing and Recommending Solutions:

    • Develop ideas that enhance business operations based upon gathered requirements.
    • Meet with key stakeholders to understand business and user needs and provide recommendations.
    • Bridge the gap between business and IT by translating business needs into technical specs communicating technical information back to the business

     

    Documentation & Reporting

    • Developing and maintaining technical documentation on current and future state of information technology systems, applications, processes, and configurations.
    • Maintain accurate records of software installations, upgrades, and support activities.
    • Generate regular reports on system performance, incidents, and resolutions.
    Contribute to knowledge base articles for future reference.

Qualifications

  • A college degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields, is preferred, although equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Fundamental knowledge of Windows, PCs, SQL, client/server architecture, networking, operating systems, databases, and software applications preferred but not required.
  • Experience in healthcare industry and mobile/web applications, AI would be a plus
  • Experience with creation and maintenance of functional and/or technical specifications
  • Experience with change control processes
  • Experience with project management methodologies.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills
  • Strong time management skills and ability to triage priorities based upon business justification.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills (listening, written and verbal) with demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships across various levels of the organization.
  • Ability to be a self-starter, self-managed with limited direction at times.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills are required, including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent customer service skills and strong business acumen
