Aramark Nexus is hiring a Retail Manager for the general store at Caprock Workforce Community, located outside Pampa, Texas. This full-time Retail Manager role is responsible for leading daily store operations, merchandising, inventory, purchasing, receiving, customer service, staffing, point of sale activity, and overall retail execution.

 

The Retail Manager will oversee the assigned retail location and ensure the store operates efficiently, professionally, and in alignment with Aramark policies, procedures, client expectations, and operational standards. This position is a strong fit for candidates with experience as a Retail Manager, Store Manager, General Store Manager, Convenience Store Manager, Retail Operations Manager, Merchandising Manager, Inventory Manager, or Customer Service Manager.

 

In this role, the Retail Manager will help create a positive guest and resident experience by keeping the general store well-stocked, organized, clean, properly staffed, and service-focused. The Retail Manager will be responsible for store presentation, product availability, inventory control, purchasing needs, team training, guest service, and financial accountability.

 

This is a hands-on retail leadership role in a large residential workforce community where people live, work, dine, and gather on site. COMPENSATION: The salary range for this position is $55,000 to $80,000. This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.  ​

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for many of the non-selling aspects of the retail operation including inventory management, warehouse management, receiving, ticketing and distribution 

  • Work with HR department to hire staff, ensure accurate staffing for events or store, and stay within payroll budget 

  • Ensure development and training of customer service programs and product knowledge 

  • Ensure accurate procedures for opening and closing the store, including accountability of cash and credit cards, and security requirements 

  • Address and resolve any customer issues 

  • Verify accountability report of financial transactions to include sales and transfers of merchandise to and from the stores 

  • Periodically check and verify the accurate ticketing of merchandise 

  • Lead periodic physical inventories as well as potential count discrepancies 

  • Maintain effective client and customer rapport for mutually helpful business relationships

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Requires 2 to 4 years of retail, store operations, customer service, merchandising, inventory, or related experience.
  • Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, retail management, hospitality, operations, or another related field.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with point of sale systems and retail transaction processes.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service using Aramark’s standard service model.
  • Ability to lead, train, coach, and support retail team members.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced retail and hospitality environment.
  • Ability to support financial controls, inventory accuracy, store presentation, service standards, and operational accountability.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time and support a physically active retail operation.

 

Preferred Experience

  • Experience as a Retail Manager, Store Manager, General Store Manager, Convenience Store Manager, Retail Operations Manager, Merchandising Manager, Inventory Manager, Customer Service Manager, or Assistant Retail Manager.
  • Experience in general store operations, convenience store operations, hospitality retail, campus retail, hotel retail, resort retail, grocery, food service retail, or workforce community services.
  • Profit and loss accountability or experience supporting financial performance in a retail or contract-managed service environment.
  • Experience with inventory control, purchasing, receiving, warehouse management, merchandising, pricing, ticketing, stocking, and shrink control.
  • Experience using point of sale systems, cash handling procedures, sales reporting, retail performance reports, and financial transaction accountability.
  • Experience hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, and leading hourly retail or customer service employees.
  • Experience working in a residential, hospitality, campus, remote site, workforce housing, or 24/7 operation.
