Aramark Nexus is hiring an Assistant Retail Manager for CapRock Workforce Community, located outside Pampa, Texas. This full-time retail leadership role includes on-site, fully furnished housing, all meals included, comprehensive benefits, and the opportunity to support retail operations in a unique hospitality and workforce community environment.

 

The Assistant Retail Manager will help lead daily retail store operations, customer service, merchandising, inventory management, purchasing, receiving, cash handling, point of sale operations, staff training, and store execution. This position is a strong fit for candidates with experience as an Assistant Retail Manager, Retail Manager, Store Manager, Retail Supervisor, Retail Operations Manager, Merchandising Manager, Inventory Manager, or Customer Service Manager.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support daily operations of the assigned retail location in alignment with Aramark policies, procedures, client expectations, and operational standards.
  • Oversee non-selling aspects of the retail operation, including inventory management, warehouse management, receiving, ticketing, stocking, and distribution.
  • Maintain store merchandising standards, product availability, inventory accuracy, and overall store presentation.
  • Work with Human Resources and operational leaders to support hiring, staffing, scheduling, and payroll budget expectations.
  • Ensure team members are trained on customer service standards, product knowledge, point of sale procedures, and store operations.
  • Support accurate opening and closing procedures, including cash handling, credit card accountability, security requirements, and daily reporting.
  • Address and resolve customer issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Verify financial transaction reports, including sales, transfers of merchandise, and inventory movement to and from the store.
  • Periodically check and verify accurate ticketing, pricing, and labeling of merchandise.
  • Lead periodic physical inventories and help resolve count discrepancies.
  • Maintain effective client, customer, employee, and vendor relationships.
  • Support profit and loss performance through cost control, inventory accuracy, payroll awareness, and operational discipline.
  • Help create a positive, service-focused retail environment for residents, guests, employees, and clients.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Requires 2 to 4 years of retail, store operations, customer service, merchandising, inventory, or related experience.
  • Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, retail management, hospitality, operations, or another related field.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with point of sale systems and retail transaction processes.
  • Ability to work a flexible, event-based or operational schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service using Aramark’s standard service model.
  • Ability to lead team members, support training, resolve issues, and maintain accountability.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced retail and hospitality environment.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time and support a physically active retail operation.

 

Preferred Experience

  • Experience as an Assistant Retail Manager, Retail Manager, Store Manager, Retail Supervisor, Retail Operations Manager, Merchandising Manager, Inventory Manager, or Customer Service Manager.
  • Experience in retail operations, convenience store operations, hospitality retail, campus retail, hotel retail, resort retail, grocery, food service retail, or workforce community services.
  • Profit and loss accountability or experience supporting financial performance in a retail or contract-managed service environment.
  • Experience with inventory control, receiving, warehouse management, merchandising, pricing, ticketing, purchasing, and shrink control.
  • Experience using point of sale systems, cash handling procedures, sales reporting, and retail performance reports.
  • Experience hiring, training, scheduling, and coaching hourly retail or customer service employees.
  • Experience supporting a residential, hospitality, campus, remote site, or 24/7 operation.
