Job Description
The GDE Supervisor role is responsible for the management and support of the technology architecture, hardware, software, and respective resources within ARAMARK
Coordinates software issues with development and operation resources and supports configuration, security, monitoring, and reporting processes.
The IT Supervisor role will lead the Device Engineering Team which is part of the Enterprise Shared Services organization. This role is focused on monitoring and coordinating the operational responsibilities surrounding workstation, mobile device, software distribution and configuration and security management.
This role will be the primary IT point of contact for Device Engineering and will help facilitate the setup, implementation, roll out and support of all hardware and software solutions.
This role will maintain open communication with IT management to ensure system and process alignment.
This role reports to the Director, End User Collaboration and Productivity.
Job Responsibilities
• Partner with Director of End User Collaboration to develop and implement 3–5-year strategies for end user devices and solutions.
• Coordinate Device Engineering team efforts focusing on business requested solutions, introducing new solutions, and maintaining existing solutions while ensuring the benefits to Aramark and the user population.
• Partner with business teams to understand objectives and work with IT and customer teams to translate those objectives into enabling programs and projects designed to drive value to Aramark.
• Ensure the definition and maintenance of technology standards, processes and policies related to Device Engineering is consistently executed.
• Facilitate problem-solving and troubleshooting of device-related issues, driving root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Develop and implement best practices, process improvements, and new technologies to enhance team efficiency and product performance.
• Monitor project progress, prepare status reports, and communicate updates to stakeholders and senior management.
• Utilize management solutions to generate and distribute various reports, including compliance reports on current assets, their status; also perform issue trend analysis and lead remediation efforts.
• Establish governance for endpoint management tools applied for the configuration, monitoring, updating, securing and reporting of knowledge worker devices.
• Apply a continuous improvement approach in enhancing the strategies employed in device management technologies, ensuring end user computing needs are met with the best fit for purpose solutions.
• Have strong business orientation and understanding of business-IT relationship.
• Understand technical architecture and implementation details of GDE application portfolio.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience with the enterprise engineering and operation of PCs, mobile devices, software distribution and configuration management
- Experience leading a team of technicians tasked with supporting day to day needs while delivering future capability is a plus
- Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong customer service orientation
- Knowledge of project planning/management techniques and experience in their use
- Ability to translate technical solutions to business terms
- Ability to partner with other technical leaders to define and deliver the future
- Enthusiastic and adept at transferring knowledge and skills to junior players to ensure upskilling of key talent and to remain focused on driving strategy
- Passion for technology
