Job Description
The Catering Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of catered events to ensure exceptional service and client satisfaction. This role includes managing staff scheduling, coordinating event deployment, and working closely with clients and internal teams to execute high-quality events.
Job Responsibilities

Create, manage, and publish staff schedules to ensure proper coverage for all catering events.

Oversee event deployment, including staff assignments, setup, service flow, and breakdown.

Coordinate event logistics such as timeline, room layout, service style, and equipment needs.

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients before and during events, ensuring their needs and expectations are met.

Assist with event planning, including gathering details, preparing event summaries, and communicating requirements to the team.

Lead, train, and support catering team members to maintain high service standards.

Administer staff disciplinary actions as needed in accordance with company policies.

Cover shifts as needed to ensure adequate staffing and smooth event execution.

Open to working various shifts—including days, nights, and weekends—to ensure proper coverage for events and overall catering needs.

Troubleshoot issues on-site and adjust plans as needed to ensure seamless operations.

Monitor product quality, presentation standards, and overall guest experience.

Maintain strong relationships with clients through proactive communication and client-focused service.

Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and company policies.

Qualifications
• Must read, write, and understand verbal instructions
• Must complete a sanitation course either before or during first year
• Must be knowledgeable in operating an efficient cost-effective program.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic
• Maintain emotional control under stress
• Ability to resolve interpersonal situations
• Strong organizational skills
