Title:  Sanitation Technician - Aramark Facilities Management

Job Description

Aramark Facilities Management is hiring Sanitation Technicians to support a food production facility in Newton, NC.

This is a hands-on cleaning role responsible for keeping production equipment and facility areas clean, safe, and compliant with food safety standards. You will spend your shift cleaning machinery, production spaces, and surfaces using power washers and approved cleaning chemicals.

This role is ideal for candidates with experience in custodial, janitorial, warehouse, or industrial cleaning environments who are looking for steady, daytime work.

The position focuses on cleaning and sanitizing equipment, production areas, and facility spaces to meet strict food safety standards. This is a hands-on, physically active role in a structured environment where safety and consistency matter.

Schedule:
Monday and Friday: 5a-3p

Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday: 7a-1pm

Pay: $17.40 with annual raise.

Job Responsibilities

• Cleaning & Sanitation (Custodial / Janitorial Work)

  • Perform industrial cleaning and sanitation of production equipment, facility areas, and/or shipping and receiving areas
  • Operate power washers, pressure washers, and cleaning equipment
  • Apply cleaning chemicals and sanitizers following safety guidelines
  • Wash delivery trailers (similar to warehouse or fleet cleaning work)
  • Must be able to stand/walk, push/pull for 8 hours (or duration of the shift)
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs comfortably
  • May be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment that covers the head and/or face

  Food Safety & Compliance

  • Follow GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and sanitation procedures
  • Wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times
  • Work within a standards-based environment with routine inspections and audits
  • Follow detailed cleaning checklists and processes

  Daily Work Expectations

  • Perform repetitive cleaning tasks with consistency and attention to detail
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Learn and apply safety procedures, chemical handling, and sanitation standards

Qualifications

• Required Qualifications

  • Comfortable performing custodial, janitorial, or warehouse cleaning work
  • Ability to handle physical, repetitive tasks (lifting, pushing, pulling 50 lbs) walking, standing, moving for 8 hours a shift.
  • Ability to understand and apply instructions and safety procedures
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
  • Must be able to follow basic safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks and exposure to hazardous chemicals

  Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in custodial, janitorial, warehouse, sanitation, or manufacturing roles
  • Experience using pressure washers or industrial cleaning equipment
  • Familiarity with GMP or food safety environments

  This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
