The Human Resources Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources operations within a fast-paced food service environment. This role serves as a strategic business partner to operations leaders, ensuring compliance with labor laws, collective bargaining agreements, company policies, and employee relations practices. The HR Manager will lead talent acquisition, employee engagement, labor relations, performance management, compensation administration, and workforce planning while fostering a positive and productive work environment.The ideal candidate has strong experience supporting unionized employees, managing grievance procedures, interpreting collective bargaining agreements, and partnering with operational leadership to achieve business objectives.

Compensation Data

COMPENSATION: The Salaried rate for this position is $90,000.00 to $110,000.00. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

Job Responsibilities

Labor & Employee Relations

  • Lead union and labor relations activities, including CBA administration, grievance resolution, investigations, disciplinary actions, arbitration support, and contract negotiations while ensuring fair and consistent policy application.

HR Operations

  • Advise leaders on employee relations, performance management, workplace investigations, and compliance; maintain HR policies, records, and regulatory adherence.

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

  • Partner with business leaders on workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies to meet staffing needs and reduce turnover.

Performance Management & Development

  • Support performance management, leadership coaching, employee development, training initiatives, and succession planning.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Administer compensation and benefits programs, support annual review processes, and recommend market-competitive pay practices.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Conduct workplace investigations, ensure labor law and regulatory compliance, partner with legal counsel on complex matters, and support audits and reporting requirements.

Employee Engagement

  • Foster an inclusive, accountable workplace culture through engagement, recognition, change management, and workforce analytics initiatives.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience supporting a unionized workforce.
  • Strong knowledge of labor relations principles and collective bargaining agreement administration.
  • Experience managing grievance procedures, investigations, and disciplinary processes.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Strong conflict resolution, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred

  • HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, CHRP, or equivalent).
  • Experience in food service, hospitality, contract dining, restaurant, or facilities management industries.
  • Experience supporting multi-site operations and large hourly employee populations.
  • Previous participation in collective bargaining negotiations.
