As the Food Safety, Risk & Strategy Manager for a high-profile client, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food safety, sanitation, and regulatory compliance across multiple food service operations. You will serve as the subject matter expert and lead the implementation of food safety programs, audits, and training initiatives to protect guests, employees, and the brand. 

Compensation Data

COMPENSATION:The salary range for this position is $75,000 to $110,000. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and monitor food safety and sanitation programs in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations (e.g., FDA Food Code, HACCP, OSHA). 
  • Conduct regular internal audits and inspections across all service areas (cafeterias, catering, executive dining, etc.). 
  • Lead and participate in incident/event investigations & communicate findings and ensure closure of action items 
  • Lead corrective action planning and follow-up for any food safety non-compliance issues. 
  • Partner with culinary, operations, and facilities teams to ensure safe food handling, storage, and preparation practices. 
  • Plan, organize, and coordinate training programs, facilitate training, and promote safe practices and working conditions in a variety of environments and situations for all staff. 
  • Maintain documentation and reporting systems for inspections, incidents, and compliance metrics. 
  • Support new unit openings and renovations with food safety design and operational input. 
  • Stay current on industry trends, emerging risks, and best practices in food safety and sanitation. 
  • Work closely with Aramark Safety & Risk Solutions team,  Leadership Team, Managers, and Clients to review, implement and enforce Aramark's SAFE Commitment.  
  • Serve as the primary liaison with local health departments and regulatory agencies. 
  • Maintain working relationship with local and regional compliance and regulatory authorities (Local Health Department, 3rd party QA/ QC groups, and other regulatory agencies. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Public Health, Environmental Health, or related field (or equivalent experience). 
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in food safety or quality assurance, preferably in a multi-unit food service or hospitality environment. 
  • ServSafe Manager Certification required; HACCP certification preferred. 
  • Strong knowledge of FDA Food Code, local health regulations, and corporate food safety standards. 
  • Excellent training and leadership skills. 
  • Must possess excellent communication, influencing, and consultative skills with demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships.  
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, client-facing environment. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital audit/reporting tools.
