We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Food Production Manager to oversee all aspects of food preparation and production for high-profile clients in a fast-paced, premium food service environment. This role requires a strong leader with a deep understanding of culinary operations, food safety, and quality control, who can deliver exceptional service and maintain the highest standards of excellence.
The Food Production Manager is responsible for leading all procurement, sourcing, supplier management, and cost optimization initiatives within the operation. This role ensures compliance with Aramark’s national contracts, food safety standards, and operational excellence requirements while driving value, quality, and service consistency across multiple accounts.
The Food Production Manager partners closely with Operations, Culinary, Finance and Supply Chain to deliver best-in-class procurement performance in support of client satisfaction and financial objectives.
Compensation Data
COMPENSATION: The salary for this position is $95,000 to $115,000. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

Job Responsibilities
Strategic Procurement & Cost Management
Develop and execute purchasing strategies aligned with Aramark’s national and regional sourcing programs
Drive food, beverage, equipment, and smallwares cost optimization initiatives
Monitor market conditions (commodity pricing, availability, logistics trends) and adjust purchasing strategies accordingly
Ensure adherence to contractual pricing agreements and approved vendor lists
Support annual budgeting and forecasting processes
Supplier & Vendor Management
Manage supplier relationships and performance metrics (service levels, fill rates, quality compliance)
Identify and qualify new vendors when appropriate
Resolve supply disruptions and implement contingency planning
Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure compliance with Aramark procurement policies and client contract requirements
Maintain food safety and quality standards in alignment with regulatory guidelines
Oversee invoice auditing, contract adherence, and purchasing controls, monthly inventory
Partner with Finance to monitor purchasing accuracy and margin protection
Operational Collaboration
Partner with Culinary and Operations leadership to support menu innovation while maintaining cost targets
Support new concept openings, activations, and large-scale events
Analyze purchasing trends and identify opportunities for standardization
Train site leadership on procurement best practices and systems
Leadership & Team Development
Lead and develop purchasing team and receivers
Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and operational excellence
Promote continuous improvement within procurement processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Hospitality, Culinary, Hospitality, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of procurement or production manager experience
- Experience in food service, hospitality, contract dining, healthcare, or facilities management strongly preferred
- Demonstrated experience managing multi-site purchasing operations
- Strong financial acumen and P&L understanding
- Advanced Excel and procurement system proficiency
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
