As a Culinary Manager, you will lead daily dining operations in a skilled nursing environment, ensuring residents receive safe, nutritious meals while creating a hospitality-driven experience that supports dignity, comfort, and quality of life. You'll coach and develop team members, maintain regulatory compliance, and help deliver service excellence every day

 

Compensation Data

COMPENSATION: The Salaried rate for this position is $70,000 to $85,500.00. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

Job Responsibilities

Culinary & Resident Dining Operations


Manage daily culinary and food service operations in a skilled nursing and long-term care environment.
Oversee food production, meal service, and dining room operations to ensure high-quality food and service.
Ensure compliance with therapeutic, mechanical soft, and puree diet requirements.
Collaborate with clinical and dietary teams to support resident nutrition and dietary needs.
Maintain a visible presence in dining areas and build positive relationships with residents and families.
Support special meals, resident engagement activities, and display/show cooking programs as applicable.


Leadership


Lead, coach, and develop culinary and food service staff to achieve operational and service excellence.
Conduct daily team huddles and ensure staff are trained on food safety, quality, and resident service standards.
Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and resident-focused hospitality.


Financial & Operational Performance


Manage food, labor, and supply costs to achieve budget and operational goals.
Monitor productivity, purchasing, inventory, and waste to drive efficiency and cost control.
Ensure consistent execution of food quality, presentation, and service standards.


Compliance & Safety


Maintain compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and regulatory requirements.
Ensure safe food handling practices and adherence to healthcare and long-term care standards.
Support successful audit and inspection outcomes through ongoing monitoring and staff training.

Qualifications

  • 3-5+ years of food service management experience in a skilled nursing, long-term care, healthcare, or senior living environment required.
  • Experience managing therapeutic and texture-modified diets, including puree and mechanical diets, preferred.
  • Strong resident engagement and customer service skills with the ability to interact directly with residents, families, and staff.
  • Food safety/food handler certification required as applicable.
  • Culinary management experience in a large, complex healthcare or long-term care setting preferred.
  • Experience working in a unionized environment preferred.
