Job Description

The Environmental Services Dispatcher takes calls and dispatch requests to the department and other support services as needed. Providing each caller with a world class customer service experience, attention to detail, and punctuality.

Job Responsibilities

  • Receive telephone requests and transmit alpha pages in rapid succession.
  • Direct the activity of the EVS and transporters, ensuring timely completion of tasks; follow-up on issues related to service and operations. 
  • Provide excellent customer service, including issue resolution or de-escalation of crisis/issues. 
  • Utilize effective dispatching logic to prioritize tasks, and dispatch assignments to the appropriate personnel in order of availability.
  • Report all employee issues (safety, injuries, and disciplinary) 
  • Notify supervisors or managers of potential situations and unreasonable response time.  
  • Work independently with computers, various software programs, 3-line digital phone systems, and alpha numeric paging systems.
  • Answer incoming calls, faxes, orders and email for service.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing communication related to support services. 
  • Adheres to all established systems and training programs to provide a safe working environment. 
  • Complies with all OSHA regulations and other local, state, and federal government regulations. 
  • Maintains compliance with Aramark's standards of operation and client contract. 
  • Maintains all records and reports necessary to comply with Aramark, government, and accrediting agency standards, regulations, and codes

Qualifications

  • Requires 1-2 years of experience in customer service  
  • Ability to communicate (both verbal and written) effectively 
  • Ability to multitask or perform simultaneous tasks  
  • Ability to work well under time constraints  
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written or oral instructions  
  • Basic knowledge of infection control procedures and universal precautions and work independently after appropriate training and instruction
  • Maintain a friendly and efficient service attitude towards customers, co-workers, and clients
